Overview
Two live digital viewbooks for TASIS Portugal, one for the IB Diploma Programme and one for the Early Learning Centre. Viewbooks are long, narrative documents, closer to a magazine than a web page. The work here was pacing: when to let photography breathe, when to land a fact, when to introduce a voice from the school.
My role
Design and production. Page templates, type system, grid, and layout decisions across both publications.
Approach
- A page-level pacing structure: open, breathe, inform, breathe, close.
- A small, defensible type system that holds across many page types and two distinct programmes.
- Photography choices that support the narrative rather than decorate it.
- A shared system so the ELC and IBDP feel like siblings, not parallel projects.
Outcome
Both viewbooks are live on the TASIS Portugal site:
The shared system supports each programme’s variant without requiring a fresh design pass for every one.
